What is Service of Process?

Procedure of delivering legal papers to notify a person or entity that legal action has begun and requires them to respond.

What does a process server do?

A process server will travel to an address, residential or business, to physically serve the servee. We also serve at correctional facilities. They serve the servee according to the rules of the jurisdiction that the papers derived from. If unable on any attempt to reach the servee they perform diligence by documenting their surroundings, conversations with people they come in contact and license plate numbers of vehicles at the location, and will perform location searches also known as skip tracing to determine residency or location of the servee.

Can papers be faxed or mailed?

Order can be made by mailing, faxing, or emailing the documents to our office. Additional information required would the name and address and any additional information pertaining to the servee, our client’s contact name, address, email, and phone number.

How long does it take to get papers served?

What if a person cannot be found or is evasive?

What if the person doesn’t accept the papers?

A servee cannot refuse service, once identified and a physical description can be had by the server they are served unless they are not the servee and not authorized to accept on their behalf.

Do I need a process server?
